Dress Up Your Sling with Fabrics

When you are suffering from a broken or sprained arm you are given a sling to wear. This is a simple medical device but it is unstylish and makes you stand out. There are several ways you can dress up your sling to almost look like a fashion accessory. This will require little cost when you use a fabric.com coupon or browse thrift stores for cheap fabric. The idea is that you can create a cover or protective sleeve for your sling to make it blend in more closely with your normal attire and make it appear less like a sterile medical device. The best materials to use for this are heavier cotton and polyester as your sling will be in constant danger of friction and tearing. These heavier fabrics are more resistant to this type of wear and tear. Once you have selected the fabric type you can browse through thousands of patterns such as plaid, floral and striped and select one that matches what you normally wear.
